Democrats and their liberal media allies have absolutely shellacked Donald J. Trump since he assumed the presidency just 6 days ago — relentlessly attacking him for everything from his inaugural crowds, to his “dark,” and “sinister” speech, to his “dictatorial” immigration and refugee restrictions that will “drive families apart.”
But now the first major presidential approval poll has been released that shows what the American public thinks of our new president.
And the media is NOT going to like it.
From Rassmussen Reports:
The Rasmussen Reports daily Presidential Tracking Poll for Thursday shows that 59% of Likely U.S. Voters approve of President Trump’s job performance. Just forty-one percent (41%) disapprove.
In the six days since his inauguration on Jan. 20, President Trump’s approval index has boomed upward a whopping nine points.
Back on January 20—Inauguration Day—Trump’s approval index was plus two points (+2). Now, six days later, it’s plus thirteen (+13) points.
Incredible. An approval shift of a stunning +11% in less than a week! FoxNews contributor Larry Sabato called it an “unprecedented move in the first week of a new president.”
So while the media has portrayed a clueless would-be dictator conducting a chaotic start to his administration, and putting in place extremist policies, the American voter could not be happier with Trump’s words and deeds.
Trump’s approval rating boom comes after a series of executive actions including killing the Trans Pacific Partnership (TPP), banning Federal funding of international abortions, freezing Federal hiring and halting regulations, restricting Obamacare, opening up the Keystone XL Pipeline, enacting new bans on refugees from 7 Islamic nations, and ordering the construction of a border wall with Mexico.
This poll shows two things quite clearly. First, the public overwhelmingly approves of Trump’s massive slew of actions.
And second, as they did throughout the 2016 campaign, the liberal media is totally out of touch with the American people.
