America’s birthday is coming up, and Ralphs grocery store chain, owned by Kroger, is saluting — with an overblown celebration of…MEXICO.
Yes, that Mexico…the nation whose decades-long racketeering has exported not just cilantro, but illegal drugs/guns/people into the USA for the purpose of subversion, psychological warfare and profit. Each year the 20-30 million criminals/illegals in the USA send back $40-50 billion to Mexico – while costing the taxpayers of California alone an estimated $10 billion in taxpayer funds. The cash transfers to Mexico are its second largest income stream for that corrupt country, built on racism and elitism of Spanish Colonial policies of oppression of the native population.
Do Americans really need to celebrate this?
As the local hardware stores sell out of American Flags and gardening supplies, a grocery store chain is letting us know where they have put their patriotic priorities by promoting the “Taste of Mexico” with a two week fiesta in their stores.
Just days away from commemorating the birth of the greatest nation on earth — blessed by God with liberty and justice, self-government and free markets — where hundreds of millions of Americans get together with family and friends on backyard patios to BBQ burgers, celebrate, honor and reflect on their nation and heroes, one national food chain is spending their resources and time promoting Mexico.
So instead of burgers and hot dogs, it’s carne asada and tortillas. Instead of Coke, it’s Corona. Instead of red, white and blue, it’s red, white and green.
Sounds innocent enough. Generally I wouldn’t care much what kind of promotion a business decides to put on, but this seems more than an odd coincidence, given that America’s Independence Day is just around the corner and our Latino friends from Mexico just celebrated Cinco de Mayo, in, what, May? Mexico isn’t quite the culture many of us would like celebrated North of the border — we like the old fashioned hot dogs, apple pie and lemonade and perhaps a little John Philip Sousa’s “The Stars and Stripes Forever.”
To some of us – who, despite loving the food, — this has the feel of being downright offensive. It’s a lot like building a donut shop next door to a Weight Watchers. If I wanted a piñata, Mexico promoting t-shirts, sombreros or mariachi’s, I’d go to an authentic Mexican restaurant or a party store.
In case you missed it, Mexico is not a true friend. Mexico is that nation that has engaged in organized racketeering for decades, exporting not only their criminals, but what have become known as “illegals” — those who the Washington DC cabal are trying to grant amnesty, so that they may not only live in the American social welfare hammock, but vote to insure it continues infinitum.
Mexico is engaged in a silent generational and cultural invasion, and at this point, they happen to be winning. Mexico’s military regularly makes incursions into U.S. territory where it hassles American citizens, border farmers, and shoots at border patrol officers. No one in Washington DC seems to care.
And if we haven’t already forgotten — because we Americans do have a very short memory — an American Marine and veteran, Andrew Tahmooressi, is still holed up in a Mexican jail. After missing a turn off, Andrew found himself accidentally in Mexico and arrested. Since April President Obama has been pleaded with by an attentive American public to help free Tahmooressi, but the only significant individuals released to freedom have been five highly dangerous Muslim Taliban commanders out of Gitmo. Will Obama ever do anything about the patriot soldier imprisonment in Mexico?
Perhaps it’s time to picket in front of the local Ralphs supermarket with signs that say “The Fiesta begins when Andrew is FREE.”
Just about a year and a half ago, another U.S. Marine was jailed in Mexico after being found with his grandfather’s antique shotgun. Jon Hammar Jr. had been held for nearly five months before his release.
Mexico has been filled with corruption for years — from top to bottom — and it’s time we recognized that fact and treat them as the aberration they are in the Northern hemisphere. It’s time we find some businessmen, elected representatives and a President that will once again put America First, and not only first but second and third and fourth as well.
